Boultons Nursery has been growing plants properly since 1895. From our 10-acre site in Moddershall, Staffordshire, we produce a broad range of peat-free hardy nursery stock for garden centres and specialist retailers who demand consistent quality, reliable supply and genuine provenance.
We have been growing peat-free since 2005, not because it became fashionable, but because we believed it was right and invested the time and expertise to do it properly.

We were growing peat-free long before the industry caught up. For over two decades, we have refined our methods to produce strong, resilient plants with the consistently, shelf appeal and garden performance retailers expect. We don't see sustainability and quality as a compromise; both are built into the way we grow.

Every Boultons Nursery plant is grown on our Staffordshire site, giving complete traceability from propagation through to dispatch. Growing on site allows us to maintain consistent quality, respond quickly to demand and provide the confidence and provenance increasingly valued by retailers and customers alike.

Our range of herbaceous perennials, grasses, shrubs, hedging plants, native plants and seasonal retail lines are all selected and grown with retail performance in mind. The plants have consistent quality, strong garden performance and presentation standards that help plants sell through confidently while maintaining quality on the bench.

We deliver nationwide using our own transport, with plants arriving bench ready within 18 hours of leaving the nursery. Weekly availability lists, no order deadlines, and a knowledgeable team that understands seasonal demand and retail pressures help our customers stay flexible throughout the season.
